Introducing Neem's Seven release of the year!
Hello all!
For the month of November, we’re excited to share a washed coffee from Colombia. This coffee has vibrant acidity with juicy mouthfeel followed with long lingering floral aftertaste.
When this coffee is hot, it reminded us a citrus tea we used to drink back in Korea. Something close to clementine peel, I'd say with bit of floral undertone.
As cools down, that citrusy note merges with candy like sweetness and reminded us orange candy. Sweetness is well-defined in this coffee that it lingers throughout the entire cup. As it cools down, mouthfeel becomes juicier and floral starts screaming. Acidity becomes more vibrant and gave us lemongrass, limey notes with rose and jasmine like floral aftertaste.
With layers of complexity of this coffee, we hope you enjoy this coffee with some time and to be part of the experience.
This coffee comes in a 150g package!
Little more about this coffee
This coffee is extra special to us at Neem Coffee.
When we were talking to Ryan, our friend at Azahar Coffee Company, about Colombia and how we can source for Neem Coffee, he mentioned a project that Azahar is doing at the origin, the picker's project. Many people in the industry talk about paying the producers fair price and sustainability of coffee industry in that sense which we are also trying to learn and do a better job at. But I never thought about how pickers' are treated until this point.
So what Azahar started was to start a not-for-profit organization for pickers, so they get paid fairly and legally without too much pressure on producers, trained on their skills and offered benefits such as childcare during work-hour. All for this to the end goal of increasing the value and the quality of coffee from Colombia.
We are super stoked that we can be part of supporting this project. Keep your eyes peeled for our next coffee from Azahar because it is also from a producer who is participating in the picker's project as well!
We highly recommend resting it for at least two weeks.
Our brew guide will be up on Instagram(@neemcoffeeproject) soon, so be sure to check it out!
This will remain open till noon of November 20 (Thursday) or sold out.
