Guatemala - Emiliana Pablo Pablo

Hello all! 

For the month of October, we’re excited to share a washed coffee from Guatemala — a beautifully balanced cup with just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, and complex flavors that evolve from hot to cold. For us, it’s been an amazing daily coffee to enjoy!

In the cup, you’ll find a gentle yet lively acidity that reminds us of citrus fruit, more specifically, pomelo. It’s not as sweet as an orange or tangerine, and not as sharp as lemon or lime, instead, it sits in between, with a touch of floral character. Think of the color of a yellowish grapefruit!

As cools down, acidity turns into more of red apple with caramel like sweetness chasing. In a way, think of caramel apple!

This coffee is extra special to us at Neem Coffee.

When we source coffee, we strive to spotlight underrepresented producers; especially female farmers, LGBTQI+ farmers, and younger generation farmers.

It is bit more special to us because it's Emiliana's first year to be singled out and showcase her work under her own name! Emiliana's been working in coffee more than 20 years as a member of ASODIETT cooperative and until now, her coffee's been blended into community lots.

So yes, we are little more excited for this one! Hope this relationship can grow year after year!
